30 weeks

I went to the doctor last week. Hurried and rushed to get there on time, even though I knew I would be a few minutes late. And guess what, I still got to sit in the waiting room for 20 minutes before they called me back!! Oh what fun! Anyways. The Nurse/Dr person I see every time came in and says "Oh wow you are big!" Lovely! I have gained 16 total pounds so far and should gain "at least a pound a week" I already feel huge!! My stomach is 31 centimeters or about 12 inches from bottom to top! Zane's heart beat was at 150, and she estimates his weight to be about 5 pounds! Yes you read that right...And with 6-10 more weeks to go... I think he is going to be a big baby!!! His head is downwards, which is good and she thinks he will stay in that position. Which means we are not poking him in the head when he pushed out on my stomach! Much to my relief! She said it would be hard to hurt his head anyway, but still... :) We are healthy and growing huge... We forgot to take pictures at our 30 week mark, so we will take one when we hit 31!

Surprise!!!

The ladies I work with surprised me with cake!! My assistant, Mrs. Lisa, told me Sandy needed me in her room. I walked in and all of the preschoolers where standing around the table, with all of the teachers and advanced child development class, and they all yelled "Surprise!" I had no idea what they were talking about! It took me a minute to see the cake, to read it and process what they meant! :) That's how slow my brain is working now! Mrs. Lisa brought my kids in, and we all got to enjoy some very yummy cake! The cake was actually half vanilla and half chocolate, I have never heard of that before! They also gave me a gift card to my favorite store, Target, to buy lots of baby stuff!! :) Thank you, Sandy, Lisa, Ginger, Debbie, Kathy, Martha, and Sue! I was very surprised!

Third Trimester

As of May 7th, I am my 3rd Trimester!! Yeah!! This is a picture of me at 28 weeks, the first day of the third trimester! I already feel huge and know I will be growing much larger! I have a feeling Zane is going to be a big baby! I go to the doctor next Tuesday, maybe they can guestimate how big he is now. According to Babycenter.com he is about 14.4 inches and weighs about 2.25 pounds. hummm...that's it?, what about the rest of the weight I have added? I have been pretty lucky I seem only to be growing a basketball and no where else does my body seem to be expanding. Well at least I think so... if you think different....keep it to yourself! :)

Zane has been very active, he hangs out on my right side. Shaun says that's because he wants to be closer to his dad, who is usually on my right. It has been an awesome feeling to feel all of the kicks and pokes. He likes to try to stretch my stomach out, sometimes you can see where he is pushing. I just can't tell what it is, his back, his butt or head!
